Mister Chuckles!

The Elder Script
{sign up now for digicash perks and bonus annual dividend...}

My role is simply to share with you, the reader, clear interpretations of the text---you may think that I lean toward desire, you know, the universal purveyor of karma manifested---I want to assure you that I am in no way inclined toward action. No, I am unattached yet observing. Even if I were so inclined to act there would be no getting stuck in the lair, as, in any case, it is the intention which gives the act ethical "actuality ".

"These acts do not bind me, O Dhananjaya, sitting like one indifferent, unattached to those acts." Bhagavad-Gita Chapter 9, Stanza 9, translated by Swami Chinmayananda (nice guy) Sreemad Bhagavad Geeta, Published in Madras IV edition, 1977 (crucial date).

I once met Swami Chin back in Virginia, "Chin" he was affectionately known among his inner circle of devotees, he was energetic, rode straight up to me on his silver bike and jumped into a philosophical discussion. And he concluded, "The tree is too heavy with fruit cannot help but bow down before God. " This parallels Jesus' teaching:

"Come to me all ye who are heavy laden and I will give you rest."

I promised not to rattle you with details and look at what I have done!
Some people call me the 'narrator' of Bhagavad America, I like that, 'narrator'---sounds nice. I make comments and interpretations of the story---these are called 'purports'.
The gathering of the armies the stage has already been set in Bhagavad America's previous chapters. The medium, the novel on the blog takes the battle in the blow by blow virtual reenactment. From that instant unto this day, all points are compelled to shorten their radii, to draw nearer to one another, condensing, precipitating, agglomerating into the bodies and items we now recognize as the universe. Virtual friggin' Entertainment! Kurukshetra is there you know near the Wal-Mart super plaza out on 22, but it is also a field, as in a field in one's mind. The battle is fought externally, but the battle is being fought within our consciousness, since it is like a film or projector that runs in your brain and you are the screen and are not the screen. The 'perceived needs a perceiver.' Somebody's got to up there to witness the action. It's true, this is what the Buddha had understood...(more on this to follow).

And it is corporate, well let me explain it this way: the heyday of transcendental teaching, music and art was the late '60s and the '70s. Peace, love, pot---everybody a part of a bigger...bigger what? No one knows, I mean take a good look at the Woodstock video---I mean DVD, you've gotta get the latest version---Santana is on stage, young drummer, Michael Shrevie aged 19 is playing the drum solo in "Soul Sacrifice" and that girl with long dirty blond hair and glasses is very serious and all at once, her face lights up---transcendence---so enthralled with Santana's genius guitarwork. Caught up into...a bigger whatever... That's what we are looking for.
Santana
Now look at the same scene today: cell phones, digital artwork, the internet, homeland security...it is a totally different ballgame. Or is it?
The more things change, the more they stay the same. You see the seeds of the actual present age in America were sown in the '60s and '70s. What lasts? It is like a coin with two sides---heads and tales. Heads is spiritual and tails is material, we live currently in one of the most materialistic cultures ever conceived. Rome was tame...its not only about the obvious sins, but the shoppers in a bizarre ritual hoard yet one more piece of jewelry, or groceries at Wal-Mart. And in their minds nothing spiritual in any sense, maybe some religion but religion doesn't count, all peoples are religious, cultural anthropologists never tire of saying. In an unashamed consumeristic capitalistic culture like America possesses in 2007, materialism runs so rampant that there are in fact only a couple of American citizens in a position to actually "save the world": and no, we are not talking about Operation Infinite Freedom! These are people who are hidden. They are not 'organizational types' if you get my drift. These are the ones who possess some thread of their childhood dreams wth heart and soul intact which they have not sold out on to protect their job, get the kids an education, hire a nanny, triple Lattes, whatever. I told you 1977 was an important date to remember. That's when His Beloved Grace Swami Chitanandamayananda was escorted through the gates of Dulles airport by US interior agents and that's the last I ever saw him alive."
Lila, one of his Grace's devotees, e-mailed me that she had found the great teacher through guru.com. I for my part got burned so bad by the Ashram, even after I donated my house and things. I never wanted to see him again. I recall His Grace had told me to "Give it up [my house] for God". I figured, well he deserves it anyway, I was OK with that I mean 'detachment' is my forte. Anyway, I am under orders not to talk about any personal stuff. The game is about karma, and the field is consiousness, the goal is a tiny peek at the knowledge of ultimate reality. Bhagavad America is only the beginning.

CyberEducation
"Cybereducation, that's one of ours Beemer---I mean the intellectual copyright."
"It came from the heady acid days in the Summer of Love in Haight Ashbury at the original swami shop---Bhagavad America. Kids with long hair, who hadn't had a bath in days, would speculate interminably on these wild and crazy ideas: one kid said "look put 2 and 2 together and it is obvious that in the future something like a 'cybereducation' will be available." He even had charts, and minute scribbles and diagrams. So yeah, that's our domain as well and I want you in there---do you hear---no more fiddling around with Rival Corps---none of this has escaped my attention!" the speech of the old warrior, Beemer's uncle, jumped up and drifted away like Autumn smoke.

Precision, my son, be precise! Vagueness does not become you. Interesting? Helpful? Give something back? In order to guide one must have a direction, in order to have a direction one must be connected to the source in order to be connected to the source one must commit oneself to something real. This is your shot---be precise, Mr. Anonomouse...
